  • Still More Work To Do:
Michael Stephens talks about the need for more librarians to be pushing the next wave of collaboration online. This is with regards to his post a year earlier on “10 Things A Library Can Do To Boost Their Techie Stuff (without breaking the bank)”.
  • As Online Research Grows, Libraries Adapt:
I’ve got to agree with the article as public libraries in Singapore have definitely adapted to the increase use of the Internet for research. Instead of having to go to the physical libraries, the public can now access some of our services through the Internet. In addition, the public can also send enquiries via email. And there are three email address that you can send to: AdultServices@nlb.gov.sg and YoungPeopleServices@nlb.gov.sg (for general enquiries, such as “What digital camera should I buy?” or “Do snakes urinate?”) as well as FictionAdvisory@nlb.gov.sg (for fiction enquiries, such as “What should I read next if I like Dan Brown?” or “I like Sidney Sheldon. Are there any authors with similar writing style?”). So, go ahead, drop us an email. (via ResourceShelf)
