The Top 10 Reasons to Be a Librarian
An interesting list of reasons of why being a librarian is good. I’ve got to agree with her on most of the reasons, except maybe on “No. 6: Time Off”. I definitely have to agree on “No. 9: Romance” because I met my wife while we were both working in the library. And I know of a few other couples just like us. I guess the one turn-off of being a librarian is having to deal with unreasonable readers who want things their way no matter what. But I guess it comes with the job being a public librarian.

Oprah means business for authors
The report talks about how appearing on Oprah’s show has tremendous impact on book sales. So, many authors are throwing themselves at Oprah, both literally and figuratively, to gain notice. And hopefully have a chance to appear on her show.
