David Lee King looks at what the different types of content that exists on a typical library website. I think of the 5 types of content, NLB’s website has nearly all 5 types though we are a little lacking in “#4. Collaborative Content (aka Interacting with Patrons)”. But we are slowly working on interacting with our patrons through our website with the increase in the use of blogs as a form of communication. We have featured book reviews and book-related events submitted by our patrons as well as provide a way for them to comment on our blog posts. We are also slowly expanding our range of blogs and this might be quicken with the recent call by the Prime Minister in his National Day Rally for government to embrace the new technology.
