Library seen as a way to give downtown zip
The city of Vancouver wants to re-locate their central library to a prime downtown site and, in turn, hopes the library would bring a fresh breath of life to an otherwise quiet downtown.
I guess that’s why the National Library was moved to the current site in Victoria Street - to revitalize the Bugis area and also to develop a learning centre together with the Singapore Management University, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Lasalle-SIA College of the Arts New City Campus, and the many other private schools.
