The Guardian recently published a two-parter of their readers’ recommendations for 2006’s best reads. You can read the part I and part II recommendations.
Most of the recommendations are fiction titles with a sprinkling of non-fiction. Personally, I was trying very hard to see if I know any of the titles. Unfortunately, most of the titles mentioned were pretty alien to me. Anyway, I plan to go through the recommendations and see if I need to get any for my library.
