An interesting look at the weird stuff that one can find in libraries as well as those the librarians find within the books. Some of the weird stuff cited include slices of raw bacon, packets of heroin, slices of cheese and many others. For me, I’ve only come across photos and cash cheques. Maybe I should go ask my colleagues what they have come across.

- The Little Bookstore That Could
Imagine a bookstore within a library …. that’s exactly what’s happening at the Humbolt County Public Library in California. Well, the bookstore, Serendipty, is a second-hand bookstore stocked with books donated by the public. Quite an interesting concept though it needs a dedicated team of volunteers to run it successfully. I’ve seen something similar at the State Library of West Australia.
