Curious about how the cover of Harry Potter’s last book looks? Well, Guardian Unlimited has the story and the children’s cover for the Bloomsbury edition of the seventh and final book in the JK Rowling’s Harry Potter series. If you don’t already know, the last book’s title is Harry Potter and the Deathly Gallows and it’ll be released on 21 July at 12.01 am in the States and other countries.
The children’s cover for the Bloomsbury edition is designed by Jason Cockroft. He was also the one who designed the covers for the last two books in the Harry Potter series. The cover for the American edition is designed by Mary Grandpre, who has also designed the covers for all the previous six US editions.
Interesting tidbit from the Guardian report is that the book is already on top of the Amazon’s bestseller charts in both their US store and UK store. Amazon started accepting pre-orders in December and has received 200,000 orders in two days even before JK Rowling had finished writing the book.
