- A Library That Straddles Two Countries
What an interesting library! The 103-year-old The Haskell Free Library and Opera House is a library like no other. The library has a skinny black line that runs along the floor of the library. The black line signifies the international border between the USA and Canada. And patrons can enter from the Canadian side and emerge from the American side without growing through Customs. However, the library is a little worried as border officials are contemplating a crackdown that might affect the unwritten rule under which locals can come and go without reporting to customs, even if they happen to cross the border.

- This library’s just like home
Another interesting library! The librarian of Zoe Valle Library actually live in the library together with his wife and 3 cats. The library is located in Chester, Nova Scotia in Canada. Most of the books in the library are donated as the town doesn’t provide money to run the library. And the librarian and his wife also spends their own money in restoring the house.
