- Recording studio in your library!
The Palmerston North City Library has created the first recording studio in a public library and it’s available for patrons to book at US$5 an hour. It’s quite reasonably equipped with an iMac (with ProTools and Garageband loaded), a 4-way headphone amplifier and has a MIDI controller keyboard.

Quite an interesting look at how Wikipedia is sort of making Encyclopædia Britannica sit up and do its own proper checking of the facts. The only thing about Wikipedia is that anyone is able to edit any of the entries, which can be both good and bad.
